Competition Rules

1. Eligibility:
   1. Open to all current and past Over The Wall campers.
   2. Only one entry per person.
2. Originality:
   1. Your design must be entirely your own work.
   2. No copying or tracing from existing characters or mascots.
   3. Collaborative entries are not allowed; each submission must be created by a single camper.
3. Design Requirements:
   1. Your mascot should represent what an Over The Wall camp means to you. 
   2. The design must be family-friendly and suitable for all ages.
   3. Submissions can be hand-drawn, painted, or digitally created. All mediums are welcome!
4. Submissions:
   1. Should be emailed or posted and arrive no later than 11.59 pm Monday 9 September 2024
   2. Emailed to media@otw.org.uk 
   3. Posted to Mascot Competition, Over The Wall, Langstone Technology Park, Havant, PO9 1SA
      1. Digital submissions:
         1. Must be in high-resolution JPEG, PNG, or PDF format.
      2. Physical artwork:
         1. Can be scanned or photographed clearly before submission.
         2. File size should not exceed 10MB.
         3. Can also be posted to the head office Over The Wall, Langstone Technology Park, Havant, PO9 1SA
      3. Mascot Description:
         1. Along with your design, include your Mascot’s name, explain your design and how your mascot would cause mischief at camp.
5. Parent/Guardian Permission:
   1. All campers must have permission from their parent/guardian to submit to the competition.
   2. Any entries without permission will not be accepted.
   3. Parent/guardian contact information and signatures must be attached to the design. Space for this can be found on the forms
6. Judging Criteria:
   1. Creativity and originality.
   2. Representation of Over The Wall’s values.
   3. Visual appeal and design quality.
   4. Story and inspiration behind the mascot.
7. Entry Deadline:
   1. All entries must be submitted by Monday, 9 September 2024 at 11.59 pm.
   2. Late submissions will not be accepted.
8. Winner Selection:
   1. Over The Wall staff will review and shortlist entries. Then, Over The Wall volunteers will vote for the winner from the shortlist.
   2. The winning design will be announced week commencing 14 October 2024.
9. Prizes:
   1. The winning design will become the official Over The Wall Camp Mascot.
   2. The winner will receive a special prize pack and a certificate of recognition.
10. Rights and Usage:
    1. Submitting your design grants Over The Wall the right to use, reproduce, and modify your mascot for promotional purposes.
    2. The winner’s design may be adapted or altered to fit various formats and uses.
