Over The Wall Children’s Charity is delighted to have been chosen by CIBC Children’s Foundation as one of three charities for support throughout 2017-18. The other two charities are Jessie May and Teens & Toddlers.
Last year Over The Wall supported over 600 children and families affected by serious illness, providing magical, transformative camp experiences completely free of charge.
Over The Wall will benefit from a number of high profile fundraising events throughout the year, including a Treasure Hunt around the City of London and CIBC Miracle Day on 6th December when CIBC capital markets employees donate fees and commissions from the trading day to children’s charities. Funds raised through these events will enable OTW to support 70 children through their health challenge camps for children living with serious illnesses.
At Over the Wall we transform the lives of children and young people living with serious health challenges by providing, free-of-charge, residential activity camps throughout the UK delivering a fabulous programme of activities that are fun, challenging and socialising.
In terms of outcome, parents routinely tell us we give their children back that spark of life, confidence, self-esteem, fun and laughter they thought had been lost because of illness. The benefits, in terms of quality of life and resilience to treatment, are incalculable.
Thanks to the generosity of the CIBC Children’s Foundation, we’ll be able to transform the lives of 70 more children and young people at our camps this year and that impact will reverberate through an even greater number of family members and friends. On their behalf we are extremely grateful to the CIBC Children’s Foundation.”
If you know of a child or family that would benefit from the Over The Wall camps, or if you are a person that would be interested in volunteering on the camps, you can contact Over The Wall on 02392 477110 or go to www.www.otw.org.uk and apply online. Camps take place from April to October 2017.
